George Anthony
Hello. My name is George Anthony. Thanks for visiting my website. I share an optimistic and welcoming perspective on the practice of Yoga, on a journey that started in 2008. Before I found yoga I always loved music, art, & nature and Yoga helped me to realize that life itself is this. With a clear intention, or maybe an openness to new experiences, Yoga helped me to live fully with a healthy and strong body, lots of energy, and positive thoughts. By practicing Yoga you can develop awareness, concentration, strength, fluidity, transformation & maturity of character, and discover inner stillness and contentment. The yoga events and trainings I run guide individuals and communities to experience these holistic benefits of yoga practice with a modern and sensible approach that also acknowledges and respects the ancient tradition. We can experience Yoga for health, happiness, and spiritual aspiration. The training I give is a synthesis of traditional hatha yoga, vinyasa, pranayama, calisthenics, yin, kundalini, and meditation. Over the last two years, my travels are reaching new locations. This year I will be in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Afghanistan, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Germany, & U.S.A. You can see the TOUR details at my yoga school website SAJEEVA YOGA. There you can also find a lot of information about Yoga practice. |

FAQ
How often do you practice? |
There are always different phases in life with what and how often you will practice. I have a morning routine everyday that's 30 minutes to 2 hours. Sometimes it includes jogging, or swimming, usually a practice of a few or many poses, and daily pranayama and meditation. Often in the evening I will do strength training or yoga as well and nightly meditation before sleep. |
What Style of Yoga do you practice & teach? |
Mostly I use hatha-vinyasa based yoga techniques and incorporate aspects of power, yin, and kundalini yoga styles. I believe practice should improve every part of the human body and mind so we function at our highest potential in life and should also lead us to a natural meditative state, at peace with the present. I also specialize in handstand workshops & practice and teach AcroYoga & Thai massage. |
When did you start your practice? |
Actual yoga training began for me in 2006 when I turned 21. In the U.S.A. this is the age you are generally considered to be an adult. I kind of felt like my life was off track, so I decided to start taking care of myself. I began looking up pictures and articles online of yoga poses and philosophy for about 6 months until I took my first yoga class. |
